Take me out to the ballgame

My hubby got tickets to the Angel game tonight. It was a great one and they were terrific seats! Not only did the Angels win but they had a parachute team from the Navy "drop" in the center of the stadium during the National Anthem. The young lady who sang it did a great job. What a great beginning to the holiday weekend.

This was two guys standing one on top of the other. Awesome huh? There were five jumpers.

Did that first picture make you crave a pretzel? LOL This next photo, with the flag, during the anthem.....it was AWESOME!

Lackey pitched against the Orioles. We won 5-2 and Lackey did a great job. I love the banners that are decorating the stadium. It's Patriotic Week. I love those banners. Reminds me of the old days. You know, 1970! LOL

If you would like to see a few more pictures of the jumpers, they are here in my webshots album.
I got home and my sister had dropped my mom off on her way to her son's house. She left me a treat in my sewing room (besides my mom). LOL Two little fat quarters. Adorable fat quarters. I've never seen this cherry fabric before. Now I've GOT to make a red and white quilt. My drawer of red fabric is overflowing! And that would be an adorabvoe in a block in MY red quilt!

And since my sister asked in the comments section, what the block looks like that I'm working on, here is it. This is one of my cherry blocks for a swap. The block is from Quilters Cache and the block is called Swappers Star. I love it with the black fabric.

Liz, I love the block. When I looked at the pattern I liked Heidi's with the sashing. Glad you liked your presents.
