Chugging away

Lots of piecing going on in my sewing room. I'm working on some Split Nine Patch blocks for a swap on my yahoo group. It's a scrappy one so this is great to use up some of those fabrics I haven't used in years. And you know, that is great because it makes room for the new stuff!

The only thing is, these little pieces aren't putting much of a dent in the bins!!! I'm making piles and when I get enough, I'll sew them together.

It's an 'anything goes but solids and holiday prints' so this should be a fun quilt when it's done.

And my boss told me about Overstock.com having a $1.00 shipping day. I had been needing a small area rug in my spare room so I got this one.

It looks pretty good and I was surprised at how big it was. I guess I didn't pay much attention to the dimensions when I ordered it. lol The size is just right. I had to post a picture to show her because she keeps asking me. :o)
