Remembering...

I never understood the feeling that generations before us experienced when they described their experiences of World War 1 or 2....until 9/11. Waking up to the clock radio saying something about a plane hitting a tower in New York and running to turn on the television. And then driving to work to watch the rest of the story there, glued to my chair. It feels like it was yesterday and yet, we have come a long way. I hope we are all a little wiser today then we were back then. It's a shame so many had to die at the hands of the terrorists. God bless all of those families.

My hubby and I will be at a car show with his `34 with the air brush 9-11 paint job. I think of all the days he will drive his car, today will mean something extra special to him and all that see it. Take care.

My hubby's paint job....ooooh!

My hubby has been having his car painted by a couple of guys he works with. It's a 1934 3-window coupe. He wanted a tattered flag on the front and some type of 9/11 tribute painted on the trunk. The two guys that did the painting of both the car and the airbrushing did a fantastic job. He picked it up today and is already going to a car show tomorrow. :o)
Isn't it amazing? Almost as good as a quilt with a 1,000 pieces! ;o)

I'm leaving my husband...

We went to a car show this past weekend up in Palmdale, CA. There were a lot of good looking cars, like this one. :o) This is my hubby's `34 Ford 3 window coupe. (Took me a long time to remember what it's called. It's not like it's a Pfaff, Singer or Bernina! hehe)

And you never know who or what you'll see at a car show. There were lots of Princesses.....Miss Lancaster, Miss Teen Lancaster, Miss Jr. Lancaster, yada, yada. Pretty young things with all their body parts still where they were supposed to be! :o)

And this `56 Chevy started out the Burn Out Contest. Yup, a burn out contest. Men! They are such funny creatures. They pay big money for nice tires and then hose down some concrete and put the pedal to the metal... and go from this........

....to this. Cough, cough......silly boys!

And then I saw "him"! Across the parking lot. I've been married for almost 32 years and never thought anyone could take my breath away like when I first met my husband, but it happened. "He" was tall and had a tan to die for. And what a body............

I'm in love............those eyes, that mouth, those buns!!!

:o)))))
