Pillowcase Challenge

My friend Nora came over for a getaway for the weekend so I put her to work. She sewed while I cut, ironed and pinned and we got 10 pillowcases done for the 1 Million pillowcase challenge on allpeoplequilt.com or American Patchwork & Quilting. This was all from stash and I didn't even make a dent!!!

They're super easy. Why not whip a couple up? I'm donating mine to CHOC Hospital in Orange County (CA) where my daughter works. :o)

Now that's productive for you. I'm going to have to talk to you and Stephanie some more about CHOC, I just found out Friday that one of Rebecca's classmates will be admitted the week after Easter. His lymphoma came out of remission and he's only 7. I hope he gets a cute pillowcase...

I am getting ready to make 5 pillowcases for donation to our school carnival. How do you get that cute little strip between the normal fabric and the end cuff?
