Happy Easter (a little early)

Where does the time go???  Almost two weeks since my last post.  And since I'm trying to get things ready for a family gathering at the park on Saturday, I think this might be my only post this week but you never know....

I made some Easter cards, started on Thursday and finished this weekend.  They are in their mail on the way to provide Easter greetings.  :o)

This card was made with a basket from an old Stampin' Up set.  I stamped the basket with Versamark, embossed it with clear embossing powder and then hit it with the heat gun.  I did the same thing to the bunny.  I love the versamark to get that tone-on-tone effect.  I cut eggs out of Designer Series paper with a medium oval punch and tucked a little 'grass' in the basket.  The card I copied this from used real clear grass but I didn't have any.  I embossed the white cardstock behind the basket for some texture.  I think this card was my favorite out of the three I made.  Maybe.  I kept one and put on the mantle.  My only Easter decoration.  lol

I used the same oval punch to cut out these eggs and used a bird punch for the little peeps.  I saw the card on an online video but the card was a little plain.  I embossed the background with a swirl and liked it much better.

And I did a repeat of the chocolate bunny for one more card.  I used the polka dot embossing folder to emboss the chocolate chip paper and the white behind the bunny.  I found this one online too.

If I don't get a chance to stop back by (gotta clean the house for all the company!), I hope you have a wonderful blessed Easter.

Wish I had seen these before I made my cards. I would have copied/borrowed your ideas.I had a hard time coming up with something this year. The hatched chicks made me smile...my favorite one :)
