I'm coming along on the ornaments but when you're trying to make 21, sometimes you have to take them in shifts according to who you'll see first. Especially, with all the baking, last minute shopping and wrapping! For my mom and my sisters, a group will get finished for tomorrow. Christmas Eve I might have 3 more finished for my girls. I won't see my friends until after that so anything's possible! I still have about 10 steps to go before this first batch is even ready! Next year......bread dough candy canes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awww Nuts!

My hubby is a supervisor of a bunch of guys in the paint shop where he works. This probably wasn't our cheapest gift but it was sure easy. We got the jars at Ikea, the pistachios and ribbon at Costco and I printed the tags on the computer and used my Stampin' Up! punch to cut the tags out. Wahlah, done! I wish every project was this quick and easy.

I'm not making much headway on my ornaments. Off to do another step. Maybe I'll have some kind of an update tomorrow but probably not. I have to go to meet my sister half way to pick up my mom so she can be with us for our family gathering on Sunday. Til tomorrow.......

Oh Christmas Tree

I'm trying to stay on top of all the holiday activities. I'll let you know December 24th how I did! I was pretty unhappy with this little Charlie Brown tree once we got it home. My Mr. Wonderful hubby was getting a little inpatient pulling trees out of the piles at Lowes and he seemed to really like this one even though I thought it was too small. (I think he just wanted to go back home and get in his recliner!) I should've fought harder! lol Everytime I look at it I grumble. Oh well, what are you going to do? A Charlie Brown tree is better then no tree at all. Plus it's another thing checked off the list. :o)

My friend Neena came over last night to help me finish my Christmas cards. (Another checkmark!!) She is a Stampin' Up demonstrator and this card was a little tricky. My hubby likes vintage cars and trucks so I thought this card was appropriate. I'll post later the stamp set and accessories I used. For now, here's a picture.

Gingham Dress

I picked this little dress dishtowel up at a school boutique for $5.00. Isn't it cute? I almost didn't buy it thinking it was a bit hokey but I went around and shopped and decided to go back and get one....and then another. lol I'll use one as a gift and this one is mine. I think I might make a pattern from it to make gifts for my sisters. But not this year!!
With three daughters, it reminds me of days gone by when they wore little dresses. They're all in their 20's now and dresses are hardly a part of the wardrobe. :o)

You've Got Mail!

Wow, did I get the motherload today. I'm glad no one drove by to help themselves to my deliveries! Took advantage of some free shipping and shopping from the comfort of my own home for a few presents. Two of them were for me via ebay! Woohoo. I ordered a Shirley Temple doll and some outfits. I have my sister to blame on that one. So today, I got a doll, 6 outfits, a gorilla and a mixer! hehe The gorillapod is a cool gadget tripod that holds your camera. Got it at Amazon for my boss....the most difficult woman to buy for. They say it's great for hiking because you can pose the legs of the tripod around anything. Check it out. http://www.gorillapod.com/

A first of many, I hope

I'm all excited to have started a blog. A little diary for busy-bodies. lol I've been reading some and boy, are they addictive! I especially like the quilty ones with all the ideas flowing out of clever little heads. I sometimes think "if I only had an ounce of that talent". Maybe someday someone will think that of me. Tomorrow some friends are coming over for a mini-retreat. We were supposed to go to the mountains but a big storm is headed in and we don't have chains for the snow so we changed the location to my house. I hope to get some ornaments made for my gift giving. Stay tuned....
